Tacony Creek Park is a 300 acres woodland park and trail located in Lower Northeast Philadelphia. It touches upon 10 neighborhood gateways, each with its personal cultures and characteristics. This trip is intended to be a traveling dialogue exploring the multidimensional history of land-use and changing communities in and around Tacony Creek Park as we too, face the stories that live within us. Personal stories will be shared by wonderful people through creative facets and wildlife species that are home to this green space will be discovered. As we celebrate collective memories and our breaths, join us for an adventurous, engaging, thought-provoking, relaxing walkthrough of a local park in Philadelphia!
We'll be joined by park community member as well as representatives from the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership, a non-profit organization working to rally community members, local partners, and City agencies together to protect and restore this green space.
